Kurt Cobain Diaries To Be Published
The complete personal diaries of late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain's are set to be published. The 23 volumes documenting the singer’s life from a quiet Seattle childhood to worldwide fame will be available this November.
Up until his suicide in April 1994 Cobain had kept extensive diaries. During his youth and time in Nirvana, he wrote an astounding 23 books over 800 pages. And now Riverhead Books (a division of Penguin) will be publishing a complete replica of the late singer’s most personal history.
A certain amount of information from the diaries had been seen last year after Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love gave author Charles R Cross access to them to aid his research for a biography of the troubled frontman, entitled 'Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain'.
However, this time the diaries are to be published full and unedited. Speaking to Billboard, Julie Grau from Riverhead Publishers explained,
"It's a replica of his notebook pages. We have excised any thought of editorial intrusion. This is pure, unadulterated, Kurt Cobain".
'Kurt Cobain: The Journals' will be available from November 11th.
